WinPCap: is the industry-standard
tool for link-layer network access in Windows environments:
it allows applications to capture and transmit network
packets bypassing the protocol stack, and has additional
useful features, including kernel-level packet filtering,
a network statistics engine and support for remote packet
capture.
Packet sniffer: (also known
as network or protocol analyzer or Ethernet sniffer) is
computer software (usually) or computer hardware that
can intercept and log traffic passing over a digital network
or part of a network.
Windows Media: is a multimedia
framework for media creation and distribution for Microsoft
Windows. It consists of a software development kit with
several application programming interfaces and a number
of prebuilt technologies.
RealMedia: is a multimedia
container format created by RealNetworks. It is typically
used in conjunction with RealVideo and RealAudio and is
popular for streaming content over the internet.
FLV(Flash Video):is a file
format used to deliver video over the Internet to the
Adobe Flash Player version 6, 7, 8, or 9. FLV content
may also be embedded within SWF files.
QuickTime: is a multimedia
framework developed by Apple Computer, capable of handling
various formats of digital video, media clips, sound,
text, animation, music, and several types of interactive
panoramic images.
